Simple Ground Meat Stroganoff

Looking for a simple, quick, tasty dinner with readily available ingredients? Look no further than ground meat stroganoff. This hearty dish is a crowd pleaser!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 small onion chopped
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 1 lb fresh mushrooms (or canned mushrooms work well)
  • 4-5 T flour (mixed in two ounces of water)
  • 14 oz can of beef broth
  • 3 t Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ -1 t of salt
  • ¼ t pepper
  • ¾ c sour cream
  • egg noodles or rice

Instructions

  1. Brown ground beef, onion and garlic in a pan until no pink remains. Drain fat.
  2. Add sliced mushrooms and ½ broth and cook 2-3 minutes until mushrooms are softened.
  3. Add remaining broth, Worcestershire sauce, salt, & pepper and bring to a boil.
  4. Stir in flour water mixture and stir well to thicken sauce.
  5. Simmer for 10 minutes on low.
  6. Remove beef mixture from the heat, stir in sour cream.
  7. Serve over egg noodles or rice.
